Traditional Gasshuku

Immersive Training Camps

Experience intensive summer and winter training camps that combine rigorous Kyokushin practice with deep immersion in Japanese culture. This is where technique meets tradition.

Camp Structure

Gasshuku (合宿) means "training camp" in Japanese—a period of intensive, focused practice away from daily distractions. Our camps follow the traditional format established during the Oyama era, emphasizing fundamentals, discipline, and spiritual development.

Training Components

  • Morning Training - Kihon, kata, and conditioning
  • Afternoon Sessions - Kumite, application, and technical refinement
  • Evening Practice - Meditation, Dojo-kun study, and reflection
  • Cultural Activities - Japanese language, etiquette, and traditions

Camp Philosophy

Gasshuku is not a vacation. It is a period of self-examination and growth through intensive training. Participants live together, train together, and support each other in the pursuit of excellence.
