Representative Mika Hamai visited Brazil for the first time in 29 years, strengthening bonds with our Brazilian branches.
In 2025, Representative Mika Hamai made a historic visit to Brazil, marking the first trip to our Brazilian branches in approximately 29 years. This visit represented a significant milestone in our international expansion efforts. During the visit, Representative Hamai met with branch chiefs Aldemiro Castro (Itajaí), Joel Chagas (Porto Alegre), and Andre Silva (Brazil Gate), reinforcing the strong bonds that connect our global family. The visit included intensive training sessions, technical seminars, and discussions about the future development of Kyokushin in Brazil. Students and instructors alike were inspired by Representative Hamai's dedication to preserving authentic Kyokushin techniques while adapting to modern training methods. This reconnection with our Brazilian family demonstrates the Kyokushin Hamai Group's commitment to maintaining strong international relationships and supporting the growth of Kyokushin Karate worldwide.
China Dalian Branch Celebrates 20 Years of Excellence
Our China Dalian Honbu marks two decades of spreading Kyokushin Karate throughout China.
The China Dalian Honbu, established by the late Chairman Noriyasu Hamai in 2007, has been a cornerstone of our international expansion for nearly 20 years. Under the leadership of Chief Li Xiangfei, the branch has grown significantly, now operating five permanent dojos throughout China, including a presence in the capital city of Beijing. The Dalian branch has become a model for international Kyokushin development, successfully adapting traditional Japanese training methods to the Chinese cultural context while maintaining the authentic spirit of Kyokushin Karate. Over the years, the branch has produced numerous skilled practitioners and has hosted several international training camps, fostering cultural exchange and technical development. The success of the Dalian branch demonstrates the universal appeal of Kyokushin's philosophy and training methods. We look forward to continued growth and success in China as we work together to spread the true spirit of Kyokushin Karate throughout Asia and beyond.
Memorial Training Camp Honors Chairman Noriyasu Hamai's Legacy
Students and instructors gathered for a special training camp to honor the memory of our late Chairman.
Following the passing of Chairman Noriyasu Hamai on December 14, 2023, the Kyokushin Hamai Group organized a memorial training camp to honor his legacy and reaffirm our commitment to his vision. Representative Mika Hamai addressed the gathered students and instructors, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the strict yet compassionate teaching methods that Chairman Hamai championed throughout his life. She reminded everyone that our role in society is to provide disciplined guidance and to help students develop not just physical strength, but also strong character. The training camp featured intensive sessions covering basics, kata, and kumite, all conducted according to the methods developed by Chairman Hamai. Participants from domestic and international branches came together to train, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that unite our global family. Chairman Hamai's innovative spirit—from his early adoption of video analysis to his development of the Dragon Glove for safe face-striking practice—continues to inspire our approach to training and technical development.
